The founder of FH&A, Philip Farnham, has more than 20 years experience in the inspection, maintenance and operation of commercial and industrial buildings located across the United States. Former employers include firms specializing in real estate management, computer software, financial, energy, entertainment, and hospitality industries. He has experience in all facets of the operation of mid-size to large commercial facilities, from hands-on maintenance and inspections, to building start-ups, as well as overall operations and project management.
During his career he developed numerous inspection protocols for these corporations, and performed thousands of inspections, with the focus being on both building and systems conditions. Types of facilities inspected and operated ranged from office to hotel to full 24/7 industrial production buildings. Size of these facilities ranged from 30,000 to 750,000 square feet. Building construction types varied from mid-rise and high-rise steel frame office towers, to pre-cast concrete hotel and tilt-up industrial.
His experience includes both individual inspections and leadership of multi-discipline teams in a project environment. He is familiar with all types of building systems ranging from simple package HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems, to complex building infrastructures with multiple chillers, high voltage electrical bus distribution systems, domestic and fire supply pump and riser systems, as well as fire suppression, and building automation systems.
